This is only the launcher, it does not download the whole game. Put it into your Zarion2 folder if your antivirus removed it, and it repairs the rest.

Unpack it with Windows Explorer, 7-Zip or WinRAR into a folder without special characters, such as C:\Games\Zarion2. Avoid Program Files and OneDrive.
Start Zarion2Launcher.exe. It checks every file and patches the client, usually in under a minute. Blocked by your antivirus? Read the fix.

Zarion2 runs on most Windows PCs from the last ten years.
1366x768 on low settings, a steady 30 FPS outside large battles.
1920x1080 on high settings, 60 FPS in guild wars and the Jade Temple.
Laptop with two graphics chips? Open Settings, System, Display, Graphics and set Zarion2.exe to High performance, otherwise Windows may start the game on the weaker chip.

Some antivirus programs flag game launchers because they patch files in the background. Zarion2Launcher.exe is checked on VirusTotal before every release.
C:\Games\Zarion2 to the Exclusions.Never switch your antivirus off completely. Using Avast, AVG or Norton? Add the folder to their exceptions list as well.
Windows 10 and 11 do not ship every DirectX 9 file the game needs. Install the DirectX End-User Runtime (June 2010) from microsoft.com, then restart your PC.
Do not download single DLL files from third-party sites. They are often outdated or bundled with malware.
Still crashing? Send syserr.txt from your Zarion2 folder to a game master on Discord.
Run config.exe in your Zarion2 folder, switch to window mode and pick the native resolution of your screen.
With display scaling above 100%, right-click Zarion2.exe, open Properties, Compatibility, Change high DPI settings and tick Override high DPI scaling behavior.
Usually a firewall or a VPN blocks the patch server. Allow Zarion2Launcher.exe in Windows Defender Firewall, pause your VPN and restart the launcher.
If the progress bar stays on the same file for more than five minutes, close the launcher and start it again. Only the missing files are downloaded.
